dr Muhammad Bilal (PUT)

Dr. Muhammad Bilal is a Researcher, educated in Pakistan (MSc and BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad), and China (PhD in Biology/Bioengineering at the School of Life Science and Biotechnology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University). Since 2018 he has been working as a researcher at the School of Life Science and Food Engineering, Huaiyin Institute of Technology, Huaian (China), and in 2019 he started his employment at Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In 2022 Dr. Bilal started a research project at PUT, connected with the designing of new, enzyme-based biocatalysts, to fight with environmental pollutants. As an expert in bioengineering, biocatalysis, and environmental engineering, he has been a guest editor in several scientific journals, including Processes, Marine Drugs, Frontiers in Chemistry, Current Nanotoxicity and Prevention, Science of the Total Environment, Mathematical Bioscience and Engineering, Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, Case Studies in Chemical and Environmental Engineering, and Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology – Bioprocess Engineering. He is an author of over 200 scientific papers and 15 book chapters, with the h-index equal to 24.
